Discogram

What’s a discogram?

A discogram, or discography, is an interventional diagnostic imaging test that helps determine whether a specific intervertebral disc may be the source of back pain. Intervertebral discs are sponge-like cushions between the vertebrae, or bones, of the spine.

Discogram – Lumbar
Discogram – Cervical
Discogram – Thoracic

Epidural Steroid Injection

What’s an epidural steroid injection?

“Epidural” refers to the epidural space of the spinal cord. An epidural steroid injection is a minimally invasive procedure for the relief of arm, neck, back, and leg pain caused by inflammation of nerves. Epidural steroid injections may be performed to relieve pain caused by spondylolysis, spinal stenosis, or herniated discs.

Epidural Steroid Injection – Cervical
Epidural Steroid Injection – Thoracic
Epidural Steroid Injection – Lumbar

Facet Injections

What’s a facet injection?

The facet joints make up the bony framework of the spine. The facet joints in your spine allows for back flexibility, bending and twisting. A facet joint injection is a minimally invasive procedure that can relieve back or neck pain caused by inflamed facet joints.

Facet – Cervical
Facet – Thoracic
facet – Lumbar

Selective Root Block

What’s a selective root block?

A selective nerve root block is a procedure in which a small amount of steroid and numbing medication in injected around a very specific nerve root where it exits out of the spinal cord.

Selective Root Block

Medial Branch Block

What’s a medial branch block?

A medial branch block is an injection of a steroid and numbing medication to the medial branch nerves of the facet joints. The facet joints are the bony framework of your spine allowing for back flexibility, bending and twisting.

Medial Branch Block – Cervical
Medial Branch Block – Lumbar

Steroid Injection

What’s a steroid injection?

Steroid or cortisone (corticosteroid) injections help relieve inflammation and pain.

Steroid Injection – Major Joint
Steroid Injection – Bursa

Epidural Injection

What’s an epidural injection?

Epidural Injections are an option for treating lower back and spine pain, as well as back-related leg pain. A steroid and an anesthetic are injected into the outer membrane of the lumbar region to treat spinal inflammation and pain, which is often caused by herniated discs, radiculopathy, or spinal stenosis.

Caudal Epidural Injection

Radiofrequency Ablation

What’s a radiofrequency ablation (RFA)?

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a procedure which applies an electrical current, produced by a radio wave, to treat pain.  The radio wave generates heat in a specific, small area of nerve tissue, disrupting the pain signals from a specific area.

Radiofrequency Ablation – Cervical
Radiofrequency Ablation – Lumbar
Radiofrequency Ablation – Thoracic
Radiofrequency Ablation – Sacral

Myelogram

What’s a myelogram?

A myelogram, also known as myelography, is a diagnostic imaging procedure where a contrast material is injected in the space around the spinal cord and nerve roots. X-rays or computed tomography (CT) is then used to diagnose problems in the spinal canal, spinal cord, nerve roots, and related tissues and structures.

Myelogram – Cervical
Myelogram – Lumbar
Myelogram – Thoracic

Rhizotomy

What’s a Rhizotomy?

A rhizotomy is a neurosurgical procedure most often performed to relieve the symptoms of neuromuscular conditions such as spastic diplegia and other forms of spastic cerebral palsy. The rhizotomy selectively destroys problematic nerve roots in the spinal cord.
